Hyundai Genus concept to debut at the 2006 Geneva motor show.

20th February 2006.

The brand if Korean of course, but the design doesn't come from too far, at least from Switzerland, where the new Hyundai Genus concept car will be shown at the 76th Geneva motor show (public days from 2nd to 12th March 2006).

The design study, which suggests a premium crossover model for the European D-segment (upper medium size, American midsize category), is the fruit of Hyundai’s European design centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany.

Hyundai says the styling is inspired by the natural forms created by waves and tides. It previews the kind of vehicle that will respond to the developing customer tastes and expectations Hyundai has identified in the upper medium D-segment cars category.

The Geneva show will also herald the first European appearance of the all-new, second-generation Hyundai Santa Fe, following its unveiling earlier this year in Detroit. Set to reach UK showrooms later this year as a key element in Hyundai’s major new product launch programme, Santa Fe marks major advances in quality, performance and versatility.
