A selection of tuning possibilities
can add some colours in these times. Not because new
model launches will suddenly vanish (launches have
always more or less adapted to the demand
fluctuations), but because tuning has always been a
"modular" proposal.
Tuning does offer solutions to
individualise new cars as much as it allows owners of
recent or less recent vehicles to renew their
"love affaire" with their horsepowered
mistresses. In other words, no matter how
"beautiful" they are, with time, our cars
become gradually transportation means. Tuning brings
them back to "cars" status.
Rather than presenting separate
tuning proposals on their own, what if we go for a
combined selection?

JE
Design programme for the Cayenne GTS,
with the aerodynamics kit, exclusive
22-inch light alloy rims and LED
daylight running lights.
|
|
Porsche
Cayenne - To warm up, we start
from the JE Design new accessory programme for the
Porsche Cayenne GTS, with the aerodynamics kit,
exclusive 22-inch light alloy rims and LED daylight
running lights.
JE Design has been also known as
one of the major refiners for Spanish SEAT brand (part
of the Volkswagen group). Gradually, the programme has
been extended for large SUVs from the German group.
Hence, for the platform brother of
both VW Touareg and Audi Q7, JE Design developed its
extensive programme for the Porsche Cayenne GTS, the
Cayenne Turbo and the Cayenne Turbo S.

Front
and rear skirt extensions made of ABS.
|
|
Body styling - The styling
programme for the current Cayenne models includes a
front and rear skirt extensions made of ABS, a
material known from the original equipment
manufacturer. By fitting it to the original attachment
points, the makeover is accomplished quickly and
safely.
Both aerodynamic and pedestrian
protection requirements have been taken into account.
An additional safety element comes
from the integrated LED (light emitting diodes)
daylight running lights. This is the first time that
they are offered in the JE Design makeover kit for the
Cayenne.
|

|
Oval
shaped double end around the stainless
steel exhaust pipes.
|
|
The kit is completed with side
skirts which can be optionally ordered with LED lights
in the door sill protectors. The rear appearance is
dominated by oval shaped double end around the
stainless steel exhaust pipes.
Body agility - To boost
agility further, the tuning experts from Leingarten
near Heilbronn in Germany lowered the body by approx.
35 mm with an electronic lowering module, getting
therefore a lower centre of gravity.
JE Design also tunes conventional
running gears. A stainless steel coilover kit with an
integrated rebound range gives a lowering scale of 30
to 70 mm, with a sportive road performance to match
the outer look. Alternatively, JE Design offers a set
of lowering springs.

Elegantly
massive five spoke design, in 10x22''
size.
|
|
Wheels - The brawny
look of the refined Cayenne is enhanced by wheels
specifically developed for automobile heavy-weights,
with an elegantly massive five spoke design, in the
impressive size of 10x22'' ET 55 (bolt circle 5x130).
JE Design deliver the one-piece
cast wheel in the version “shadow silver / polished
front“, in “matt black / polished front”, in “graphite
silver glossy / polished horn“ and in “graphite
matt silver / polished horn“. They also delivers
entire wheel sets for the SUV Select wheel with its
295/30 R22 XL tyres.
Market-specific prices, shipping
costs and other information - or inquiries - about the
full tuning range for the Volkswagen group and Porsche
cars, can be obtained from the JE
Design website.

Both
Ibiza 5-door and Sportsoupe have their
own programmes.
|
|
Seat
Ibiza - On a different level,
JE Design launched recently also its new tuning
programme for the SEAT Ibiza, both the five-door and
brand new SportCoupé.
The new tuning programme
includes a styling kit with
lowered suspension, multispoke wheel set in 17” or
18”, wing doors, coil-over suspensionm up to an
increase in diesel performance.
Just after JE
Design put the finishing touches on the new Seat Ibiza
5-door, the tuning specialist came up with a specific
formula for the new 3-door Seat Ibiza SportCoupé.

|
|
Body
accessories - Like the 5-door version, the
3-door one has its own programme. Here also, JE
Design delivers its components in a high grade ABS and
all of the parts are custom-fit by CNC (computer numerical
control) machines.
The kit includes a front
spoiler, a sports radiator grill, headlight eyebrows
for a “mean look”, side skirts that make for a
powerful profile, a roof edge spoiler and a rear apron
attachment with a carbon look that makes for a visual
balance with the other parts. All are available for
the practical 5-door Ibiza as well as the 3-door Ibiza
SC.
The 5-door model (red Ibiza in the
opposite photos) also comes with LSD wing door
fittings to open the front doors upwards. The rear
features a centre-mounted trapezoidal tailpipe made of
stainless steel. The roof and parts of the front end
are covered with matt black acrylic sheets with a “Bocanegra
look”.

The
way JE Design prefer the Ibiza SC.
|
|
For a good combination with the
original shock absorbers, the low sports suspension
springs offer more agility, making the new Ibiza 35 mm
lower (available for 3- and 5-door models; used on the
blue Ibiza Sports Coupé in opposite photos). This
suspension system also improves the appearance.
For an even sportier application,
the KW coil-over suspension made of stainless steel
(used in the red Ibiza 5-door) can lower it up to 65
mm.
Part of its Ibiza programme, JE
Design offers the sporty “Multispoke” wheel sets
in either 7”x17” ET 35 or 7.5”x18” ET 35 with
tyres 215/40 R17 or 215/35 R 18. The other choice is
between "shadow silver" or “black matt /
lip silver” finish.
For the engine, a performance
enhancement for the 1.9 TDI (130 hp) allows the hot
Spaniard to reach 198 km/h (series: 186 km/h) and to
accelerate in 10.0 seconds (series: 11.1 sec.) from 0
to 100 km/h. In addition, the drive is improved at low
and middle rpm ranges through increased torque.

|
Carbon
foil in various colours instead of a
new car paint.
|
|
Seat
Leon - JE Design enlarges its
extensive programme also for the current Leon. Apart
from already known changes for aerodynamics, the motor
and wheels, the tuning expert now offers a carbon foil
in various colours to serve as an alternative to
applying a new car paint. In addition,
safety-enhancing LED daylight running lights can be
added.
The core modification is the
performance enhancement of the 2,0 TDI motor. It
boosts power from the standard 103 kW (140 hp) to 130
kW (176 hp). The torque increases by 85 Nm to 405 Nm.
|

|
JE
Design headlights masks and a sportive
front spoiler.
|
|
The changes at the motor management
enhance performance: 214 km/h top speed (serial model:
205 km/h) and the car propels from 0 to 100 in 8.3
seconds (serial model 9.3).
The performance enhancement comes
with a part certificate by the German Technical
Control Board (TUV), while the engine continues to
meet the emissions inspection regulations. The price
includes a one-year warranty applicable to the engine,
drive train and gearbox. The warranty can be prolonged
at extra charge for another year. A performance
enhancement for the 2,0 TFSI with 147 kW / 200 hp is
also available.

|
New
skirt with gaps for a stainless steel
four-pipe silencer.
|
|
JE Design headlights masks and a
sportive front spoiler give the Seat Leon an even more
racing expression.
The rear boasts with a new skirt
attachment which already comes with gaps for a
stainless steel four-pipe silencer by JE Design. The
end pipes measure 90mm and are made of chromed
stainless steel.
JE Design enhances the side face
with a side sill set. The entire aerodynamic part are
also available as complete kit. Also, JE Design offers
the front grill for 109 € which confers additional
aggressiveness to the Leon.

|
LED
daytime running light with air inlet
plate in carbon-look.
|
|
The latest highlight is the LED
daytime running light (opposite photo) which is
fitted to the front with an air inlet plate in
carbon-look. This LED daytime running light fulfils
two functions at the same time. When the dimmed
headlights are on, the LEDs are dimmed to the parking
lights mode (position light) which renders an nice
appearance at night time. When the dimmed lights are
turned off, the LEDs shine brighter than in the
parking light mode and increase road safety due to a
better visibility during daytime.
As “car paint”, JE Design
decided to apply an entire car film with CFC foil in
3D carbon-look. This innovative foil bears a strong
resemblance to carbon and gives the Leon a semi gloss
shine. The foil can be ordered in various colours,
providing coloured contrasts, such as black/white. If
desired, the car can only be partially equipped with
car film.

The customer can choose from five
wheel sets. The highlight of the range measuring 17,
18 and 19 inches is the complete wheel “Multispoke“
set in matt black measuring 8,0 x 19 ET 45 with 225/35
R 19 Y wheels.
The suspension programme
culminates in a coil-over which changes the ground
clearance of the Leon between 35-65 mm. Alternatively
the refining specialist offers a more sportive road
performance with sport springs. If desired, a 4-piston
sport brake (330 x 28 mm) at the front axle provides a
constantly effective deceleration from high speeds.

|
VW
Scirocco - In another proof of
prompt response to novelties, JE Design can already
deliver an entire sport programme for the new
Volkswagen Scirocco.
The Scirocco kit (919€) includes
a front spoiler with a centre spoiler sword in carbon
look. The profile is enhanced by side skirts with air
inlets and a rear spoiler extension which matches the
other components and is also available in carbon-look.
Makeover kits for crash-tested gull-wing doors can be
ordered as well, for 1,549 €.

|
Side
skirts with air inlets.
|
|
The end muffler which is made of
stainless steel and comes with two centrally
positioned oval end pipes (899€) renders an earthy
sound. It is delivered with an EU operating license.
Also available is a half system with 70 mm pipe
diameter and increased by 11 hp.
Lowering springs by JE Design which
have been especially developed for the VW Scirocco
(219€) lower the car's centre of gravity by 30 mm
and are combined with serial shock absorbers. The
sport programme offers the elegant wheel design “multispoke”,
measuring 8x19 inches with 235/35 R19 tyres in “shadow
silver“ (2,810€), “matt black / silver rim bead“
(2,930 €) or in “white pearl / polished front”
(2,930€).

Under the bonnet, JE Design boosts
the Scirocco with a performance kit (1,249€),
increasing the strength of the 2.0 TFSI version to 180
KW / 244 hp at 6,000 rpm.
The torque rises from 280 to 350 Nm
(at 3,350 rpm). Zero to 100 is reduced to 6.6 seconds,
0.6 seconds faster than its serial counterpart.
Maximum speed rises by 7km/h to 242
km/h. The performance kit comes standard with a
one-year warranty and fitting costs.
Market-specific prices, shipping
costs and other information - or inquiries - about the
full tuning range for the Volkswagen group and Porsche
cars, can be obtained from the JE
Design website. |
