2013 Outlander: 2WD or 4WD and two engine choices.

09 February 2012: Next month, the  82nd Geneva International Motor Show (6 to 18 March) will host the world debut of Mitsubishi's all-new Outlander midsize crossover.

The other thirteen models of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation's (MMC) lineup in Geneva will include the MiEV House, a model for a near-future "EV lifestyle" (EV for electric vehicle), the ASX (known as the RVR or Outlander Sport in some markets) and other models currently on sale in Europe.

After its launch in Russia this summer, the all-new 2013 Outlander, which is similar in size to the current car, will make its debut in the other markets in Europe (late summer), Japan, Oceania, China and North America. An EV-based Outlander model will also be launched next year with a plug-in hybrid system derived from MMC's EV technology.

Eleven years after the launch of the first Outlander in 2001 (the 2nd generation followed in 2005), Mitsubishi says that the third generation aims to offer better  functionality with features such as the power-operated tail-gate, second- and third-row seats (full 3rd row seating) which can be configured to provide different seating patterns with a flat floor cargo area.
